Website Development FAQ

  • How long does it take to build my project?

Each project is different. Some projects we have to do more exploration than others, so they obviously take more time. Plan a few months from start to finish as an average.

  • What should I expect?

Expect that we will not have your design on the first try. We have an exploratory process that takes time and an open mind. Please remember, we are trying to make something that is unique and translates an abstract concept into visual form. It normally takes a minimum of 3 rounds of design work to get into the “ball park”.

  • What input do I have?

We look at this as a team effort. We will set up a “kick-off” meeting with you and our design staff. At that phone meeting, we will dissect your brand and other brands to establish goals for your project. From there, we will begin the design phase and share each step with a phone call to open discussions about the progress. Together we will decide the best route for the project and move forward accordingly.

  • When do you build my website?

Once you give us the “green light” on designs, we begin the development of the project. The approved design will act like a general blueprint. This means that there are no changes to the design as we move forward.

  • Is my flash site search engine optimized?

Yes. We build flash websites that are “white hat” search engine optimized (SEO). That means that we use the best practices and standards when developing your website for SEO.

  • Will my site rank number one in search engines?

Not necessarily. Development is just the beginning when ranking in search engines. Other factors play a big part like rich textual content, inbound linking, and competing websites. However, our websites are the first step in ranking high in search engines.

  • Are there monthly fees?

It depends. Most of the sites we build are simple portfolio sites that consist of info pages, photo album pages, a contact form, and a splash page. These simple portfolios can be built with a backend (CMS) that requires no monthly fees. However, if the site is more complicated, we will have to use our more robust backend that does have a small monthly fee associated with it.

  • What do I do to reserve a spot?

We take a specific number of clients per month. To reserve a spot, you must pay the full non-refundable fee. Please call to get a final quote for your project.
